The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) and the Cyber Crime Wing of the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) have already launched a nationwide crackdown against individuals and businesses involved in the illegal sale of foreign SIM cards.

According to a statement issued by the PTA, the coordinated raids are part of the ongoing efforts to prevent telecom fraud and protect national security.

The agencies reiterated their commitment to monitor and prevent the illegal trade of SIM cards and warned that strict action will continue against those violating telecom regulations.
Overseas Pakistanis have expressed happiness over the PTA’s decision, saying that in this way, Pakistan will be as safe as possible.
